Reading
Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought you into God’s family. So we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit itself affirms with our own that we are God’s children.

As your day draws to a close, spend a few moments in silence and stillness.
Dwelling
Read the passage again. As you do, become aware of God’s loving presence within you.
Prayer
Thank you, almighty God, that in Christ Jesus, we are free from fear. But more than that, freed to love you, to willingly yield our lives to you, to know you, and to cry from our hearts, “Father.” Amen. (WC)
