Reading

“Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God opposes the proud, but shows favor to the humble. Cast all your anxiety on God because God cares for you.”

—1 Peter 5 (NT)

Stillness

As your day begins, spend a few moments in silence and stillness.

Dwelling

Read the passage again. Find a word or phrase that catches your eye or moves your heart. Slowly repeat it in your mind.

God cares for you.

God cares for you.

God cares for you.

Prayer

Make me alert to your grace, Oh God.

Fill me with humility, Oh God.

Here is my anxiety, Oh God.

Here is my life, Oh God.

May your will be done in me.

Amen. (CIB)
