Day 232, Evening

Today’s evening meditation is available below in audio and script formats. The audio version is also available for free download on the player.

Reading

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

The poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.

The angels of the Lord guard those who are in awe of him.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.

—Psalm 34 (OT)

Quiet

As your day draws to a close, spend a few moments in silence and stillness.

Prayer

Lord of creation, you are everywhere, but there are certain places where the dividing wall between heaven and earth feels wafer thin. That notion tempts me to pack up for a faraway pilgrimage to find you, but you meet me where I am.

Wake me up to your kingdom of grace and goodness through your presence. Amen. (HC)
