Day 235, Morning

Today’s morning meditation is available below in audio and script formats. The audio version is also available for free download on the player.

Reading

Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights.

For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.

—Psalm 36 (OT)

Quiet

As your day begins, spend a few moments in silence and stillness focussing on the light of God within.

Prayer

Merciful God, when I’m tempted to be envious or jealous, when I insult or hate my neighbor by words or deeds, looks or gestures, lead me to repentance, to know that you sustain all, you are the light within all, and that all exist because of the fountain of life that is you. Amen. (CiB)
