Day 312, Evening

Today’s evening meditation is available below in audio and script formats. The audio version is also available for free download on the player.

Reading

Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said: “Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge?

Brace yourself. I will question you, and you shall answer me.

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Who stretched a measuring line across it?

On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone—while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?”

—Job 38 (OT)

Quiet

As your day draws to a close, spend a few moments in silence and stillness.

Prayer

Infinite God, your power and goodness are terribly great, above and beyond my capacity to grasp. What you do transcends my understanding; so much is hidden from me. I bow in humility and reverence before you. Amen. (BC)
